{"id":486554,"date":"2026-10-06T05:26:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T05:26:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/486554\/"},"modified":"2026-10-06T05:26:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T05:26:11","slug":"worker-owned-coffee-and-craft-shop-opens-in-sacramento-plaza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/486554\/","title":{"rendered":"Worker-owned coffee and craft shop opens in Sacramento plaza"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A  coffee shop selling handmade crafts has opened in Sacramento.<\/p>\n<p>Over the summer, Connor William McAnlis, Sav Moore and two of their friends launched Fair Grounds Coffee at 4603 Broadway in the Fairgrounds Plaza near the old State Fairgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>Most of them had experience with making coffee and all were artistic. So, they combined their talents, according to McAnlis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all got together, and we\u2019re like, \u2018What can we do to make money that sounds enjoyable?\u2019\u201d McAnlis said. \u201cWe settled on a coffee shop because we felt like we could do the customer service&#8230;it\u2019s our sort of bread and butter for making money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fair Grounds Coffee\u2019s menu includes a white chocolate mocha, iced drip coffee, cold brew and its signature Mexican mocha, according to its handmade <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DdhPAUuPgyj\/?hl=en\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">flier posted on social media.<\/a> The shop serves up various sweet and savory pastries as well.<\/p>\n<p>Like its menu, its craft selection is diverse. The shop sells hand-spun yarn, jewelry, pottery and glass pendants, McAnlis said.
