Celebrini is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury:<\/p>\n<p>Sharks tools<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marchment-Smith-Chernyshov<br \/>Stenberg-Wennberg-Sherwood<br \/>Graf-Misa-Toffoli<br \/>Goodrow-Ostapchuk-Dellandrea<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nurse-Kesselring<br \/>Dickinson-Trouba<br \/>Orlov-Cagnoni<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Smith, first and foremost, wants his best friend Celebrini in the line-up, but he is happy to play his natural position once again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m super-excited,\u201d Smith said. \u201cPlayed [there] my whole life, so I\u2019m ready to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Head coach Ryan Warsofsky cautioned that the San Jose Sharks don\u2019t play until Thursday night at the St. Louis Blues. So we\u2019ll see what lines look like at practice on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But he did like what he saw on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI loved our practice,\u201d Warsofsky said. \u201cI love the pace of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The San Jose Sharks practice in St. Louis at 12 PM CT on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019ll see if Smith is still at center and get another Celebrini update. No doubt, Smith is hoping to still be up the middle, if Celebrini is out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs a wing, sometimes, when you\u2019re slashing, you\u2019re behind the D,\u201d Smith said. \u201cI like having the puck and coming up the ice and seeing everyone in front of me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe\u2019s got some experience with it,\u201d Warsofsky said. \u201cI think it\u2019ll help his skating and getting involved in the game skating-wise, that\u2019s something that we\u2019ve talked about.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"DALLAS \u2014 Will Smith could be back at center.
