The sisters of a man fatally stabbed in South Natomas are asking potential witnesses to come forward as Sacramento police continue searching for answers.<\/p>\n

Officers found 35-year-old Anthony Eugene Daniels<\/a> critically injured with at least one stab wound near Sagemill Way early Saturday morning, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Daniels had knocked on a neighbor\u2019s door<\/a> seeking help before officers arrived.<\/p>\n

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart is broken,\u201d Daniels\u2019 sister Natisha Hart said. \u201cI got one brother in this life, and somebody stole him from me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniels\u2019 other sister, Marneshia Hart, said she remains stunned that her brother was killed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in shock because I never thought that I would be associating murder with my brother \u2014 homicide with such a beautiful person,\u201d she said. \u201cIt makes absolutely no sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sisters described Daniels as a devoted father, protective brother, and free spirit who brought laughter and joy to his family, even when he faced challenges of his own.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey robbed me. They robbed my mother. They robbed my sister. They robbed my kids. They robbed his kids,\u201d Natisha Hart said. \u201cThey robbed my entire family of somebody that brought nothing but joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniels had four children and helped raise another child, according to his family. His sisters said he was also deeply devoted to his nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe loved on all of them like crazy,\u201d Marneshia Hart said. \u201cThat can\u2019t be replaced.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said explaining Daniels\u2019 death to the children has been especially difficult.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got to teach them forgiveness. We\u2019ve got to teach them all of these things that are going to be beneficial,\u201d she said. \u201cBut how do you forgive? How do you teach a young person to forgive somebody that took someone from them?\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniels\u2019 family last saw him Friday afternoon. The location where police found him was only a few blocks from one of his sisters\u2019 homes, family members said. They said Daniels was known to visit her home without notice, but they do not know why he was in the area that night or who may have attacked him.<\/p>\n

The stabbing occurred while thousands of people were attending the nearby Aftershock music festival. Police have not announced any connection between Daniels\u2019 death and the festival or its attendees.<\/p>\n

Police have also not released a possible motive or information about a suspect.<\/p>\n

\u201cExcruciating pain \u2014 when you rob somebody of their life, you are also robbing everybody else that\u2019s connected to them,\u201d Marneshia Hart said.<\/p>\n

The sisters said they are relying on their faith as they grieve and seek justice. They urged anyone who saw or heard something \u2014 even if it was not captured on camera \u2014 to contact investigators.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease say something. Don\u2019t sit in silence,\u201d Natisha Hart said. \u201cMy brother did not deserve to die.\u201d<\/p>\n

No arrests have been announced. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sacramento Police Department.<\/p>\n
