{"id":487944,"date":"2026-10-07T10:30:50","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T10:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/487944\/"},"modified":"2026-10-07T10:30:50","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T10:30:50","slug":"anaheim-hits-100-degrees-on-tuesday-marking-4th-straight-day-of-record-breaking-heat-daily-bulletin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/487944\/","title":{"rendered":"Anaheim hits 100 degrees on Tuesday, marking 4th straight day of record-breaking heat \u2013 Daily Bulletin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anaheim marked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2026\/10\/05\/prolonged-heat-wave-shatters-more-records-across-southern-california-on-monday-weekend-cooling-ahead\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a fouth straight day<\/a> of record heat on Tuesday, Oct. 6.<\/p>\n<p>The city saw a high temperature of 100 degrees on Tuesday, exceeding the previous daily record of 99 degrees set in 2005, said National Weather Service meteorologist Philip Gonsalves.<\/p>\n<p>Burbank also dethroned a record, reaching 101 degrees to replace a record temperature of 100 degrees set in 1964, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Kristan Lund.<\/p>\n<p>A weekend cool-down is on the way, both Lund and Gonsalves said. Gonsalves said Orange County should expect a noticeable temperature decrease on Friday, with inland areas to follow during the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSlowly but surely the marine layer will make a return right to the coast and it will extend the lower temperatures a little further inland,\u201d Gonsalves said.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday and Monday might bring intermittent rain to areas across Southern California, Gonsalves said.
