The event is designed to help families better understand specialized pediatric sports care and how to keep athletes healthy and active.

Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Debbie Meyer will serve as the keynote speaker, while longtime Sacramento broadcaster Mark S. Allen will emcee the event.

The forum will be held at Shriners Children’s Northern California, located at 2425 Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento.

The event is free, but organizers say advanced registration is required because space is limited.

For more information or to register, visit the Shriners Children’s Northern California website here.

See more coverage of top California stories here | Download our app | Subscribe to our morning newsletter | Find us on YouTube here and subscribe to our channel.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers and families are invited to learn more about preventing sports injuries…

[32
2820,140230,4690,23615,1043,1431,266,190676,32531,190675,121,123,122,73239,190673,190674,58199,133552
post-488348","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sacramento","tag-app","tag-athletic-trainer","tag-coach","tag-download","tag-event","tag-family","tag-northern-california","tag-pediatric-sport-medicine-expert","tag-presentation","tag-recovery-forum","tag-sacramento","tag-sacramento-headlines","tag-sacramento-news","tag-shriners-children","tag-shrines-childrens-sports-injury-prevention","tag-sports-injury-prevention","tag-student-athlete","tag-young-athlete
["GET
