The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying additional victims following the arrest of 33-year-old Alexander Chad Lyons of West Sacramento in connection with an ongoing investigation into the online sexual exploitation of minors.

This comes after county detectives received information regarding an online account associated with Lyons. During this investigation, detectives served multiple search warrants and reviewed online account records, digital communications, images and videos.

Detectives identified numerous files believed to be Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and uncovered evidence indicating Lyons communicated with minors online over a period of several years. Investigators also identified communications in which Lyons allegedly encouraged and directed children under 12 years old to produce sexually explicit material. Evidence further indicated that Lyons used these images and videos to facilitate continued exploitation of child victims.

The investigation has identified minors located outside of California, leading detectives to believe Lyons’s online communications may have extended well beyond Yolo County.

On Oct. 1, with assistance from the West Sacramento Police Department, detectives served a search warrant in West Sacramento and arrested Lyons.

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who communicated with Alexander Chad Lyons while they were a minor, or anyone who knows someone who may have communicated with Lyons while they were a minor, to contact Yolo County detectives.

Detectives are particularly interested in anyone who communicated with Lyons via Discord, Omegle, or other online messaging or video chat platforms, including anyone who remembers communicating with the username “animus517”.

Even if you are unsure whether your experience is connected to this investigation, detectives encourage you to come forward.

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying additional victims following the arrest…

[32
7,179,181,23,100,180,993,266,121,123,122,2958,14771
post-488426","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sacramento","tag-california","tag-community","tag-latest-headlines","tag-local-news","tag-news","tag-newsletter","tag-north-bay","tag-northern-california","tag-sacramento","tag-sacramento-headlines","tag-sacramento-news","tag-west-sacramento","tag-yolo-county
["GET
