Pacific Gas and Electric Company said it could activate its Public Safety Power Shutoff protocols on Friday afternoon through Monday to reduce the chance of its equipment sparking fires in California.<\/p>\n
The planned power shutoffs will likely impact parts of 13 counties on Friday and Saturday, 17 counties on Sunday, and eight counties on Monday, PG&E said on its website<\/a>. <\/p>\n PG&E\u2019s weather team warned of a \u201cperiod of dry and gusty northwesterly winds over elevated terrain in Shasta and Tehama counties and [the] western Sacramento Valley\u201d on Friday. <\/p>\n Another period of \u201cdry, northerly winds\u201d in the western Sacramento Valley was expected on Sunday, PG&E said. <\/p>\n In all, about 12,200 customers could lose power, PG&E said. <\/p>\n See below for a list of counties that could be impacted and a map. <\/p>\n This content is imported from infogram.
