A man was killed Tuesday after the car he was driving was struck by another vehicle in Long Beach.<\/p>\n
The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday near 10th street and Orange Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.<\/p>\n
Police said a black 2023 Nissan Rouge traveling eastbound on 10th Street struck a black 2000 Honda Accord that was attempting to make a U-turn from the south curb.<\/p>\n
The driver of the Accord was unconscious in the driver\u2019s seat when officers arrived. He was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries, the department said.<\/p>\n
The driver of the Rouge was cooperative with the investigation, and police said neither distracted driving nor intoxication were considered factors in the crash.<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.<\/p>\n
