Surfing For Hope Longboard Classic:\u00a0Santa Cruz\u2019s Nohemi Kawasaki tied for 19th place at the World Surf League\u2019s Surfing For Hope Longboard Classic in Pismo Beach on Friday.<\/p>\n
Kawasaki took fourth in Heat 2 of the Round of 20 with a two-wave total score of\u00a05.63 in 1- to 4-foot conditions.<\/p>\n
Brazil\u2019s Luana Soares (8.83) and Puerto Rico\u2019s Jazmine Dean (8.63) advanced from the heat at the Longboard Qualifying Series 1,000-point event.<\/p>\n
Two other Santa Cruzans are slated to start in the Round of 16 on Saturday.\u00a0Emilyanne Pillari goes in Heat 2 and London Lorber goes in Heat 4.<\/p>\n

Receiver-turned-backup-QB Jocelyn Avalos-Melendez passed for 66 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n
Yoselin Delgadillo made two TD receptions and Ashley Mendoza and Dalila Longoria-Giron each had one.<\/p>\n
