SAN JOSE \u2013 Center Macklin Celebrini<\/a>, out the last two games with a lower-body injury, will take pregame warmups on Saturday before it is determined whether he will face the Edmonton Oilers<\/a> in a matinee game at SAP Center.<\/p>\n

Celebrini fully participated in Friday\u2019s practice<\/a> at Sharks Ice and said afterward that he felt good, adding that \u201cthere\u2019s always a chance\u201d he could play against the Oilers.<\/p>\n

Celebrini had five points, all assists, in the Sharks\u2019 first two games this season before he felt discomfort during warmups before Monday\u2019s game against the Dallas Stars and was a late scratch.<\/p>\n

Celebrini was also scratched for Thursday\u2019s game against the St. Louis Blues, but the Sharks rebounded from a 5-0 loss in Dallas with a 3-2 overtime win in St. Louis.<\/p>\n

The Sharks could be without forward Kiefer Sherwood, who sustained an upper-body injury against the Blues and is also a game-time decision against the Oilers. Sherwood, who did not practice Friday, recorded 10 hits in the win over the Blues and leads the NHL with 30 this season.<\/p>\n

With Sherwood questionable, Adam Gaudette has come off injured reserve and could make his season debut. Gaudette sustained an upper-body injury early in training camp and began the season on IR.<\/p>\n

For the Oilers, ex-Sharks defenseman Jake Walman has an upper-body injury and will be a scratch Saturday. He\u2019ll be replaced in the Oilers\u2019 lineup by another former Sharks defenseman, Shakir Mukhamadullin, who was dealt to Edmonton in July as part of the trade that brought Darnell Nurse to San Jose.<\/p>\n

Mukhamadullin played in Edmonton\u2019s first two games, but has been scratched the last two by Oilers coach Mike Babcock.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust be firm,\u201d Babcock said about what he wants to see from Mukhamadullin. \u201cHe\u2019s got skill. He can skate. He\u2019s long. We like all those things. Now you\u2019ve got to play hard. You\u2019ve got to play hard every shift, and if you do that and play well defensively, then you\u2019re going to continue to play.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also, for Edmonton, forward Filip Hallander will make his Oilers debut, replacing Max Jones.
