The team later ruled him out with the injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Ducks are off to a strong start this season, picking up wins in three of their first four contests &#8211; and Gauthier has been a strong part of that. The fourth-year winger has two goals and four points in four games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Gauthier and teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/leo-carlsson\/8484153\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/leo-carlsson\/8484153\" target=\"_blank\">Leo Carlsson<\/a> both hit major pay days in the off-season in Anaheim, as the two were locked up with long-term deals. The Ducks signed Carlsson to a five-year contract worth $90 million in response to an offer sheet from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/philadelphia-flyers\/4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/philadelphia-flyers\/4\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> in July, then signed Gauthier to a six-year deal worth $81 million in September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 22-year-old Gauthier has 63 goals and 118 points in 163 career NHL games with the Ducks.
