That’s the gleeful and not-too-ghoulish guise the Long Beach institution will adorably assume Friday, Oct. 23, when Scarium Family Night, its annual Halloween-themed party for youngsters and their grown-ups, is set to hauntingly happen.

DJ tunes, magic shows with a vampiric twist, and, so cool, trick-or-treating around the aquarium are on the evening schedule. There are festive photo spots, too, for revelers to pause and pose, and a scavenger hunt inspired by the season (it is self-guided, so go at your own pace).

Tickets are on sale; kids under 3 can enter for free, while a general admission is $30.95. A member’s ticket is $20.95.

There are a few things to know, and rules about costumes, so swim by this page before preparing to take the plunge.

As in years gone by, the LBC gem is also staging a sound-filled Halloween party for adults, too: It’s Fright Dive, an eerie spin on its long-running Night Dive series.

The glub-glub gathering will surface Friday, Oct. 30, with performances by the Salton City Surf Club as well as Tom Kenny and the Hi-Seas.

Cocktails? They’ll be available for purchase, and an assortment of bites, too, at Café Scuba.

Fright Dive is a revelry made for ocean lovers who are 18 and older and costumes are encouraged.

So will you go as a shark? An octopus? Poseidon? The ocean itself? It may be impossible to camouflage ourselves in a mere second or two, like so many gill-rocking earthlings can, but we also have the option of carrying a golden trident, donning a crown, and wearing a merman tail, if we choose.

A Fright Dive general ticket is $54.95, while a member admission is priced at $49.95. Do arrive with funds for food and beverages, if you plan to eat and sip at the celebration.

What to KnowAquarium of the PacificLong BeachScarium Family Night is Oct. 23Fright Dive is Oct. 30 (ages 18…

[33
7250,1431,585,131,133,132
post-493777","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-long-beach","tag-aquarium-of-the-pacific","tag-family","tag-halloween","tag-long-beach","tag-long-beach-headlines","tag-long-beach-news
["GET
