The highway had been closed since the crash was reported around 10:40 a.m. <\/p>\n<p>The semi struck the railroad trestle spanning the highway, prompting the closure while crews responded and the scene was cleared.<\/p>\n<p>The trestle has been hit by big rigs multiple times over the years, including notable crashes in 2023, 2022 and 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/hwy70-crash-marysville.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"hwy70-crash-marysville.jpg \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  Scene of the crash Monday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>                Caltrans<\/p>\n<p>Caltrans is planning a $178.6 million overhaul of the Highway 70 corridor through Marysville that includes replacing railroad underpasses and increasing their vertical clearance.
