Reality TV<\/a> personality Mackayla “Kash” Paige<\/a> has died in a shooting.<\/p>\n

The “Real West Coast Baddies” star was fatally shot while downtown in Oakland, California, in the early hours of Sunday, Oct. 11, a spokesperson for the Oakland Police Department confirmed to USA TODAY Monday, Oct. 12.<\/p>\n

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting on the 200 block of 14th Street shortly after 1:30 a.m. local time when they discovered Paige with an apparent gunshot wound, according to the OPD. Officers attempted life-saving measures before she was transported the hospital, where she died.<\/p>\n

RJ Mitte<\/a>, the “Breaking Bad”<\/a> actor who advocated for disability rights throughout his career, died at 34 on Oct. 12. <\/p>\n

Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. on the Emmy-winning AMC drama series, was declared dead at 1:32 p.m. local time at his residence in Brownsville, Texas, Cameron County Justice of the Peace Judge Cyndi Hinojosa\u00a0told USA TODAY. The actor’s rep Sean Reilly also confirmed his death in a statement, describing Mitte as a “beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate.”<\/p>\n

An adult woman has been arrested in connection with the incident, police said, although her identity has not been revealed. The Oakland Police Department’s Homicide Section is conducting an ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

Kash is remembered by friends and family<\/p>\n

Paige was known for her time on the reality shows “Real West Coast Baddies,” “RoomH8z” and “Young & Reckless.” She was also a social media influencer with over 35 thousand Instagram followers, as well as a makeup artist.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the shooting, loved ones began creating memorial at the scene. Friend Poodahh described Paige as “so fun” and full of life in an interview with KTVU<\/a>, while cousin Nicky Clayton said she was always working toward her dreams.<\/p>\n

“She wanted to be famous so bad. She still had morals, don’t get me wrong. She wanted to be a reality star. She was wanted to start her own business. She was modeling for a lot of companies, and she really wanted to do makeup,” Clayton said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The outlet further reported Paige was sharing videos of her and a group out on her Instagram Stories just hours before she was killed, and Clayton, growing emotional, said Paige was just “chilling” with “family” that night.<\/p>\n

“She was supposed to be good, so I don’t know what transpired or nothing like that, but I know she was supposed to be here,” Clayton added.<\/p>\n
