A 35-year-old man who was riding an electric scooter when he was struck and dragged by two vehicles in the Florence neighborhood of South Los Angeles was identified by county authorities Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Bryan Hernandez suffered multiple blunt force traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near Broadway and 83rd Street, according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
Hernandez was first struck by a northbound vehicle at about 9:45 p.m. Friday as he was crossing Broadway in the crosswalk at 85th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>\n
He was dragged about 700 feet before becoming dislodged, police said.<\/p>\n
A second vehicle then struck Hernandez and dragged him another 200 feet before he became dislodged in the area of 83rd Street, police said.<\/p>\n
Neither driver stopped to render aid or identify themselves as required by law, police said.<\/p>\n
