{"id":496341,"date":"2026-10-15T00:00:13","date_gmt":"2026-10-15T00:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/496341\/"},"modified":"2026-10-15T00:00:13","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T00:00:13","slug":"sacramento-man-indicted-by-federal-grand-jury-for-theft-of-government-property-covering-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/496341\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacramento man indicted by federal grand jury for theft of government property | Covering California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SACRAMENTO, Calif. &#8211; A federal grand jury has indicted a former postal employee on charges of stealing more than $55,000 from the United States Postal Service.<\/p>\n<p>According to the United States Department of Justice, 26-year-old Kyree Hall of Sacramento has been charged with theft of government property.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment was unsealed following Hall&#8217;s arrest. Court documents show Hall worked as the sole clerk at the Rio Oso Post Office in Sutter County in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, Hall used his position to issue at least 56 USPS money orders payable to himself between March and May of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say Hall falsely recorded that the money orders had been paid for by various people.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Justice says the theft cost the U.S. Postal Service approximately $55,505.
