Both locations closed in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n MORE: Inside the empty flagship Nordstrom in San Francisco, closing after more than 3 decades<\/a><\/p>\n With the downtown Nordstrom location in its final days, a once vibrant store is desolate with mannequins packaged away and many empty displays in sectioned-off areas.<\/p>\n Since then, a “Nordstrom Local” store opened on Fillmore Street<\/a>, but it is for online pickups, returns, tailoring and personal styling appointments instead of carrying traditional retail inventory.<\/p>\n The new Nordstrom Rack location is scheduled to open in fall 2027.<\/p>\n “Nordstrom has a long history in San Francisco, and we’re excited to bring Nordstrom Rack back downtown,” co-CEO Erik Nordstrom said in a statement. “The city has many wonderful assets, and it has clearly built momentum in making downtown a great place for customers.
