{"id":497717,"date":"2026-10-16T05:10:23","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T05:10:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/497717\/"},"modified":"2026-10-16T05:10:23","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T05:10:23","slug":"powerful-waves-damage-homes-and-boardwalk-in-long-beach-onscene-tv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/497717\/","title":{"rendered":"Powerful Waves Damage Homes And Boardwalk In Long Beach \u2013 ONSCENE.TV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Powerful waves battered the Long Beach Peninsula Friday morning, damaging waterfront homes and sections of the boardwalk as high tides brought additional coastal flooding.<\/p>\n<p>On October 9, 2026, around 8:30 a.m., waves crashed over the seawall near the 6400 block of East Seaside Walk, sending water toward East Ocean Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p>Video showed damaged sections of the boardwalk, floating debris and waves washing beneath homes.
