{"id":498521,"date":"2026-10-16T21:58:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T21:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/498521\/"},"modified":"2026-10-16T21:58:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T21:58:11","slug":"mish-goes-nightlife-mode-with-the-opening-of-bar-mitzvah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/498521\/","title":{"rendered":"Mish Goes Nightlife Mode with the Opening of BAR Mitzvah\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The delicatessen transforms into a cocktail bar at night starting Oct. 22<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Restaurateur and chef Eric Greenspan will extend the hours of his modern Jewish deli, <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mishdeli.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/mishdeli.com\/\">Mish Delicatessen<\/a>, transforming the space into what is sure to become a weekend nightlife hub.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mish is already accustomed to serving drinks, ranging from specialty coffees to cocktails and unique non-alcoholic options during the day, but beginning Oct. 22, the La Brea establishment will show off its beverage finesse one step further. Thursday through Sunday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., Mish will become BAR Mitzvah, a cocktail bar extension.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/0926.JakobLayman.BarMitzvah-299-1200x800.jpg\" alt=\"Jakob Layman Bar Mitzvah\" class=\"wp-image-319697\"  \/>Credit: Jakob Layman Bar Mitzvah<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the mixology endeavor, Greenspan partnered with four-time James Beard Award nominee Julian Cox and 2021 World Class USA Bartender of the Year Adam \u201cGeorge\u201d Fournier. Both men have worked extensively in L.A. and helped to create culinary staples throughout the city. Fournier, the first-ever bar director at Spago Beverly Hills, and Cox, whose talents graced the likes of Bestia and Redbird, crafted a drink menu based on the same cross-cultural influences that Mish is known for during the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/0926.JakobLayman.BarMitzvah-227-1200x800.jpg\" alt=\"Jakob Layman Bar Mitzvah\" class=\"wp-image-319694\"  \/>Credit: Jakob Layman Bar Mitzvah<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The menu is anchored by two martinis, the Poire Prisonni\u00e8re, which features Kastra Elion vodka, gin, plum brandy and pear, and The Spaniard, a gin martini finished with Grand Noir blue cheese from K\u00e4serei Champignon.
