(WIBW) &#8211; A man entered a guilty plea Friday in the Shawnee County District Court in connection with a September 2025 homicide in the Oakland neighborhood of northeast Topeka.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The man, Dalton Wolf Thompson, 29, entered the plea on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Dalton Wolf Thompson, 29, of Topeka, entered a guilty plea Friday in connection with a...\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/SYLFPG35OVAVJEOV4DCFZ4V57Y.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Dalton Wolf Thompson, 29, of Topeka, entered a guilty plea Friday in connection with a September 2025 homicide in the Oakland neighborhood of the capital city, court records show.(WiBW)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to court records, Thompson also entered a guilty plea to an attempted murder charge in the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">An aggravated battery charge was dismissed, court records show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In January 2026, Thompson had entered not guilty pleas to the first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery charges, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/09\/04\/tpd-investigating-oakland-homicide\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/09\/04\/tpd-investigating-oakland-homicide\/\">incident for which Thompson was charged<\/a> occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 4, 2025, in the 1000 block of N.E.
