RUSH<\/a> has rescheduled their concert originally planned for Saturday, October 17, at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The postponement is attributed to drummer Anika Nilles experiencing illness due to the flu. The band issued an official statement through social media platforms regarding the change. Source.<\/a><\/p>\n So sorry everyone!\u00a0Anika\u00a0is too ill to perform tonight. Tonight\u2019s\u00a0RUSH\u00a0show in San Jose is not happening \u2013 now rescheduled for Dec 6, 2026. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the new date. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to coming back and putting on a fantastic show for you.<\/p>\n The band also posted a video about this:<\/p>\n Hi, it\u2019s\u00a0Lerxst. So this really sucks. The other night [Thursday, October 15] when we played the first show in San Jose,\u00a0Anika\u00a0was ill. She was in the early stages of a flu, but she managed to get through the gig, which was really quite incredible and is a testament to her willpower. But over the last couple of days, she\u2019s gotten a lot worse, and, unfortunately, we\u2019re gonna have to cancel the show tonight. It\u2019s a real bummer. We\u2019re crestfallen. We were really looking forward to it, but it is what it is.<\/p>\n So she\u2019s gonna recover hopefully within the next \u2014 oh, who knows? \u2014 four or five days probably. And then we\u2019re gonna try to come back on December 6th to do the makeup gig here in San Jose. Again, really, really sorry. These things happen. It\u2019s flu season. We\u2019ll do our best to get back in shape and return and put on a fabulous show for all of you.
