{"id":502901,"date":"2026-10-21T03:00:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T03:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/502901\/"},"modified":"2026-10-21T03:00:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T03:00:08","slug":"ice-agents-arrest-person-near-santa-clara-county-main-jail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/502901\/","title":{"rendered":"ICE agents arrest person near Santa Clara County Main Jail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN JOSE \u2014 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested a person Tuesday morning in San Jose, according to a coalition that tracks ICE activity in Santa Clara County.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at West Hedding Street and North San Pedro Drive, near the Santa Clara County Main Jail, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sccrrn.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Rapid Response Network<\/a> said in a social media post.<\/p>\n<p>RRN members arrived at the scene around 11:50 a.m. and confirmed ICE agents were no longer in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Additional details about the arrest were not immediately available.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, RRN said there have been no raids or surge in ICE enforcement in the South Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s arrest follows two others in the East Bay. On Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/10\/20\/ice-immigration-arrests-oakland-emeryville-east-bay-area\/?utm_email=F40A84D115E344CFC47EE20E7E&amp;lctg=F40A84D115E344CFC47EE20E7E&amp;active=no&amp;utm_source=listrak&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fwww.mercurynews.com%2f2026%2f10%2f20%2fice-immigration-arrests-oakland-emeryville-east-bay-area%2f&amp;utm_campaign=bang-multi_pubs-pm_report&amp;utm_content=curated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ICE agents arrested one person in Emeryville and another in Oakland<\/a>, according to the Alameda County Immigration Legal Education Partnership.
