{"id":502993,"date":"2026-10-21T04:40:11","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T04:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/502993\/"},"modified":"2026-10-21T04:40:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T04:40:11","slug":"coles-french-dip-could-reopen-its-doors-by-november-san-bernardino-sun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/502993\/","title":{"rendered":"Cole\u2019s French Dip could reopen its doors by November \u2013 San Bernardino Sun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After what seemed like a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailynews.com\/2025\/07\/07\/coles-french-dip-is-closing-its-doors-aug-3-after-117-years-in-business\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">permanent closure<\/a> following more than a century in business, Cole\u2019s French Dip could reopen soon.<\/p>\n<p>The plans to reopen as early as November were announced in an Instagram post by one of the iconic restaurant\u2019s new owners, Jeremy Fall, and his business partner Sean Maloney and in a story in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/food\/story\/2026-10-20\/french-dip-icon-coles-will-return-new-menu-new-ownership-same-bukowski-sign\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles Times.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201ci called @seanmaloneyyy almost a year ago to tell him i wanted to take over @colesfrenchdip. we decided to partner and the rest is history\u2026 in the making,\u201d Fall posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DeuJ_eoROoD\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cole\u2019s Instagram account<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Messages to Fall and Maloney were not returned late Tuesday, Oct. 20.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Times, the menu will retain the famous French dip sandwich, which Cole\u2019s claims to have invented more than 100 years ago. Plans also call for dishes like ravioli, prime rib frites and salmon with trout roe, according to the Times.<\/p>\n<p>Located at 118 E. Sixth St., in the Pacific Electric Building, Cole\u2019s was founded by Henry Cole in 1908 and in 1974 it was dedicated as a city Historic-Cultural Landmark.
