CLOVIS, Calif (FOX26) \u2014 A 27-year-old Fresno man was arrested without incident Thursday evening after police said he stole an e-bike and tried to evade officers before being found hiding in a backyard.<\/p>\n
Dispatch received a 911 call just after 4:45 p.m. reporting a stolen e-bike near Shaw and Leonard. <\/p>\n
As officers were being dispatched, the Real-Time Information Center used the city camera network and a Drone First Responder was launched.<\/p>\n
Police used the technology to direct officers to the area where the suspect abandoned the stolen e-bike near Gettysburg and Locan. <\/p>\n
The Fresno Police Department\u2019s helicopter and bystanders also assisted in locating the suspect, who was ultimately found hiding in the backyard of a home.<\/p>\n
The suspect was identified as Juan Valencia, 27, of Fresno. <\/p>\n
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of grand theft and obstructing a peace officer.<\/p>\n
