Some lanes of southbound State Route 163 at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard were closed on Thursday for several hours after a semi-truck hit the underside of the overpass, sending concrete pieces falling down onto the freeway below, Caltrans said.<\/p>\n
California Highway Patrol closed the right two lanes of southbound SR-163 at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Kearny Mesa around noon and alerted the public to expect delays in the area. By about 11 p.m., all lanes had reopened. <\/p>\n
It has not been confirmed if debris was still falling off the overpass by the time lanes were reopened.<\/p>\n
