Led by a dominant defense and a resurgent offense, the Jackrabbits got another convincing win on the road against Millikan, 42-0.

The Jackrabbits lost to Wilson last year and at Millikan two years ago, and have been licking their wounds waiting for their turn to get back on top. They’ve seized sole possession of first place in the Moore League in convincing fashion, going 3-0 so far with three running clocks and a combined score of 141-0. If the Jackrabbits can post a shutout next week on the road at Jordan, they’d be the first time in Moore League history to go a whole season without giving up a point (two teams have given up six points).

“This is Poly football, the way it’s supposed to be played,” said Poly coach Travon Patterson. “The defense is playing lights out–I’m impressed by them and by the coaching staff and the job they’re doing putting together a gameplan every week.
