Winds diminish early Saturday morning and the rest of the day looks sunny and pleasant. A few more clouds are possible Sunday, but we’re looking ahead to next weekend as there is a chance for showers.<\/p>\n

Winds diminish Saturday morning, and the afternoon looks beautiful with sunny skies and Valley highs in the low 70s. Sunday will be pleasant as well with a few clouds, a return of the onshore flow and Valley highs in the low to mid 70s. <\/p>\n

Monday through Thursday looks quiet and dry with more cool temperatures. <\/p>\n

We’re keeping a close eye on a storm system for the end of the week that could bring wet weather Friday and Saturday (Halloween), but there is still quite a bit of disagreement among the weather models, so certainty is low for now. <\/p>\n

Weekend outlook<\/p>\n

Saturday morning will start off breezy for the west side of the Valley and the high elevations of the Sierra, but otherwise the forecast is perfect for outdoor plans. <\/p>\n

Clouds will increase some on Sunday. <\/p>\n

Saturday morning winds<\/p>\n

The first few hours of Saturday will be breezy for part of the Valley and the high elevations in the Sierra. Winds will be lighter int he afternoon.<\/p>\n

Next weather system<\/p>\n

A weather system will pass by Northern California on Monday. There is a chance for some showers at the north coast and int he Sierra north of I-80. <\/p>\n

Otherwise the biggest change will be an increase in the onshore breeze and cooler temperatures.<\/p>\n

Halloween weekend outlook<\/p>\n

Next weekend’s forecast is a bit up in the air. There is a chance for rain in California, but that chance is much higher for the southern half of the state. <\/p>\n

This map shows the probability of wetter than normal conditions between Thursday October 29th and Monday, November 2nd. The darker the green shading, the higher the chance for rain and mountain snow. <\/p>\n

Keep all Halloween plans scheduled, but also keep the weather in mind when planning trick-or-treat attire.<\/p>\n

Foothills and Sierra 7 day forecast<\/p>\n

Saturday morning and Monday will be breezy times in the Sierra. There may be a stray shower in the mountains early next week as well, but mainly north of I-80. <\/p>\n

There is a chance for showers next Friday. <\/p>\n

Valley 7 day forecast<\/p>\n

This weekend will be mostly sunny and pleasant for outdoor plans. <\/p>\n
