A new lawsuit filed on Oct. 13 alleges that owner of an Oakland home knew about the home’s dangerous conditions of a home where a porch roof collapsed, injuring 16 people.<\/p>\n

The collapse, which happened on St. Patrick’s Day last year<\/a>, came after multiple people stood on the roof minutes earlier. The new lawsuit alleges that the owner of the home failed to maintain the roof.<\/p>\n

The plaintiff claims that she was struck in the head by the collapsing roof, leading to injuries including a concussion, bruises across her entire body, and PTSD. <\/p>\n

The plaintiff alleges that the owner of the property, The Robert V Erickson Trust, knew about the condition of the home and failed to do maintenance work on the roof or notify the people who lived in the home about the danger.<\/p>\n

The plaintiff is seeking compensation for their injuries.<\/p>\n
