At the time, it was the largest commercial project funded entirely by women, for women.<\/p>\n<p>Honoring a trailblazing legacy<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hotel just unveiled a massive mural to mark its centennial. It honors Maude N. Bouldin, the property\u2019s first general manager and the first female hotel manager in the U.S. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/HotelFig_WomenDesigning-31-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-160727\"  \/>Source \/ Hotel Figueroa<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul Daniels painted the striking piece. He is the same artist who created the iconic Kobe Bryant mural on the opposite side of the building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hotel continues to support women shaping LA today. Its annual Artist Alley residency directly spotlights local female creators. Guests can order the Boo Berry, Midnight Vault, or Halloween Sunset. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can sip these seasonal drinks while overlooking the hotel\u2019s famous coffin-shaped pool.
