SAN FRANCISCO \u2013 The University of Denver women’s soccer program got a first half goal from Kacey Harvey<\/a> and had two second-half tallies chalked off for offside, but secured a 1-0 victory over San Francisco on Saturday afternoon at Negoesco Stadium.<\/p>\n

NOTES:

\nKacey Harvey’s<\/a> goal was the first of her career, and the second goal contribution of both her sophomore season and of her career.\u00a0

\nDenver’s cleansheet was its second in as many matches and its fourth of the season.\u00a0

\nThe win was Denver’s first road win of the campaign.\u00a0

\nDenver had a 16-14 edge in shots, including 7-6 on target.\u00a0

\nLucy Garnsey<\/a> made six saves in her fourth shutout in 10 appearances in 2026.<\/p>\n

How it Happened:

\n8′ Denver’s first shot of the game came from Luci Vincent<\/a>, who sent one screaming past the post and in-behind for a goal kick.

\n8′ Off a San Francisco goal kick, Denver had the first shot on goal of the game when Kacey Harvey<\/a> hit one from just outside the six-yard box. It was saved by USF keeper Grace Wilson and out for a Denver corner.

\n12′ Vincent had Denver’s best chance of the opener in the quarter hour when the ball fell to her 25-yards out, setting up a strike that rattled the woodwork of the corner of the post and crossbar.

\n24′ Harvey got the Pioneers deserved breakthrough when she beat her defender down the Denver right, touched it past the keeper and knocked it into the empty net from a low angle.

\n51′ Denver pushed for a second, getting free on a recycled ball after the keeper came out for a through ball. The Pioneers found the back of the net, but were flagged for offside.53′

\nDenver had three quick chances for a second. Camila Palacios<\/a> and Samantha Dreiling<\/a> both had their attempts blocked, and Nora Zelazny<\/a> got the third chance, but put it just over the crossbar.

\n78′ Shay Payne<\/a> appeared to have doubled the Denver advantage, but after video review, the goal was wiped away for offside.<\/p>\n
