The case against her was bound over to the higher court following a preliminary exam in 44th District Court.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyautosizes lazyload\" alt=\"mugshot\" width=\"203\" height=\"254\" data- src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/TOP-L-traffickingprostitution0914-01.jpg\" data-attachment-id=\"2977060\" \/>Maya Scott Perry booking photo<\/p>\n<p>At least one adult female victim was allegedly trafficked by Perry throughout the metro Detroit area including Madison Heights, Royal Oak, Southfield and Warren, according to a news release from Madison Heights Police Lt. Scott Holdreith, issued soon after her arrest.<\/p>\n<p>As stated in the news release, evidence from the investigation \u2014 launched last June by the Madison Heights Police Department \u2014 shows Perry often engaged in criminal behavior while her minor child was present, though detectives have confirmed the child wasn\u2019t involved or physically harmed. The child is now in the care of a custodial parent.<\/p>\n<p>Perry, held in the Oakland County Jail, is scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 2 before Judge Patrick O\u2019Brien.
