{"id":507958,"date":"2026-10-26T01:04:54","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T01:04:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/507958\/"},"modified":"2026-10-26T01:04:54","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T01:04:54","slug":"man-arrested-following-standoff-trailer-fire-in-east-central-fresno-police-say-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/507958\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested following standoff, trailer fire in east central Fresno, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A man is now in custody following a hours-long standoff with police that resulted in a trailer catching fire in East Central Fresno.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It started around 11:30 a.m. Friday, when authorities were called to a home near Fowler and Clinton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Initially, a woman claimed to be sick, but during the course of their investigation, officers learned she was the victim of domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Attempting to speak to a man on scene, the suspect ran from officers and barricaded himself in a trailer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While inside, authorities say he caught the trailer on fire before running inside the home and, once again, barricading himself inside.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Eventually, officers were able to enter the home and take the suspect into custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">If you are the victim of domestic abuse, or you know someone who is, there is help available 24\/7.
