The injured man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle, which had left the scene, was tracked to Treasure Island. When police officers arrived, they found that the California Highway Patrol had already pulled the driver over on an unrelated matter.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was booked into jail on suspicion of homicide.
