A person who was stabbed early Monday on a Muni bus in the Western Addition was in serious condition at a hospital as police searched for a suspect.<\/p>\n
Officers were called at about 1:13 a.m. to Laguna and McAllister streets for a report of a stabbing, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Officers found a wounded bus passenger and gave aid until medics arrived, police said.<\/p>\n
The suspect had fled the Muni 5 bus before the officers arrived. Police searched the area but did not find the attacker, the SFPD said. No description of the suspect was released.<\/p>\n
The San Francisco Fire Department said it responded with a private ambulance crew that took the unidentified victim to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, arriving at 1:26 a.m.<\/p>\n
The victim was stabbed in the head and chest, according to a post on the Citizen app (opens in new tab)<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re grateful that the victim\u2019s injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening and wish them a full recovery,\u201d the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency said in a statement.<\/p>\n On Sept. 23, a passenger on the 14 Mission bus was slashed in the throat<\/a>, allegedly by another passenger who had been menacing two women on the bus.
