The San Jose Sharks returned home from a 3-2-1 road trip, and there were changes to the line combinations at practice on Monday.<\/p>\n
The biggest change was arguably the top-line adjustment head coach Ryan Warsofsky<\/a> made. Rookie Ivar Stenberg<\/a> will join Macklin Celebrini<\/a> and Will Smith<\/a> on the Sharks\u2019 first line.<\/p>\n Stenberg on top line with Celebrini and Smith!<\/p>\n \u2014 Sheng Peng (@Sheng_Peng) October 26, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n This is the first time this season the Sharks have even toyed with putting Stenberg with their two best players. SHD couldn\u2019t attend practice on Monday, but Warsofsky will likely explain why throughout the week.<\/p>\n As for the other line changes, well, there are a lot. Michael Misa<\/a> remains the San Jose Sharks\u2019 2C, with two new wingers, Collin Graf<\/a> and Mason Marchment<\/a>. Kiefer Sherwood<\/a>, who played with Misa and Stenberg, moves to the third line with Ty Dellandrea<\/a> and Tyler Toffoli<\/a>. <\/p>\n The only unchanged line was the 4th line.<\/p>\n Per Curtis Pashelka on X<\/a>, here are the forward combinations run during Monday\u2019s practice.<\/p>\n Stenberg-Celebrini-Smith On defense, there are changes as well. The blue line has been the most consistent thing all season for the Sharks, other than small changes. But that is now out the door, as Warsofsky has changed his pairings.<\/p>\n Once again, per Pashelka, here are the San Jose Sharks\u2019 defensive pairs at Monday\u2019s practice.<\/p>\n Nurse-Trouba Aside from Luca Cagnoni<\/a> and Nolan Allan<\/a> swapping every few games, the pairings have stayed the same. After a tough couple of performances, sometimes saved by their goalies, the Sharks have split the top two pairings.
