Dunlap, 34. <\/p>\n<p data-v-2c6143fb=\"\">CORCORAN, Calif. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktvu.com\/tag\/us\/ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">California<\/a> prison officials are investigating the death of an inmate at a substance abuse treatment facility in Corcoran as a homicide.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2c6143fb=\"\">Louis T. Jackson, 62, was found unresponsive in his cell at about 6:46 a.m. Saturday at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2c6143fb=\"\">Staff members attempted life-saving measures, but Jackson was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>   Cellmate under investigation <\/p>\n<p data-v-2c6143fb=\"\">Jackson\u2019s cellmate, Derek E. Dunlap, 34, was placed in restricted housing while the circumstances surrounding Jackson\u2019s death are investigated.<\/p>\n<p data-v-2c6143fb=\"\">Dunlap is being investigated in connection with Jackson\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p> Inmates\u2019 criminal histories <\/p>\n<p data-v-2c6143fb=\"\">Jackson was received from Los Angeles County in 1996 to serve a four-year sentence for second-degree burglary as a second striker.
