Meanwhile, the tides are raising questions about how they might affect local fisherman<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">A preliminary reading at the San Pedro tide gauge reached 8.02 feet Monday morning, breaking the previous record of 7.93 feet set Jan. 10, 2005, according to the National Weather Service. Records at the gauge date to November 1923, and slightly higher tides are possible Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Fisherman in the area are keenly aware of every changing tide on a daily basis.
