A Dutch Bros in Fair Oaks is closed Thursday after a car crashed into the coffee shop, officials said.<\/p>\n

A Dutch Bros Coffee in Fair Oaks is closed Thursday after a car crashed into the shop, officials said.<\/p>\n

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. at the Dutch Bros on Madison Avenue and Kenneth Avenue.<\/p>\n

The driver lost control, hit a fire hydrant and then smashed into the building, according to California Highway Patrol. Officers said they suspect that the driver was under the influence.<\/p>\n

Employees who showed up for work told KCRA 3’s Melanie Wingo their manager told them they’d have to close for the day due to damage outside and inside the shop.<\/p>\n

They showed Melanie the damage, including cups and straws on the floor and an espresso machine pushed so forcefully that it almost fell off the counter. Employees also said a water line was damaged.<\/p>\n
