{"id":512574,"date":"2026-10-30T03:56:10","date_gmt":"2026-10-30T03:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/512574\/"},"modified":"2026-10-30T03:56:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-30T03:56:10","slug":"teamlab-exhibition-space-set-for-anaheim-in-2030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/512574\/","title":{"rendered":"TeamLab Exhibition Space Set for Anaheim in 2030"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/teamlab\/\" id=\"auto-tag_teamlab_1\" data-tag=\"teamlab\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TeamLab<\/a>, the Japanese digital art collective famous for its immersive exhibitions, is set to open its first permanent space in the U.S. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOn Thursday, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-10-29\/billionaire-samueli-family-strikes-9-figure-deal-for-teamlab-museum-in-anaheim\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg reported<\/a> that the Samueli family, the billionaire owners of NHL team the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, had struck a more than $100 million deal with TeamLab to open a space in Anaheim, California that is projected to open in 2030. The space will be part of a larger $5 billion development of the land surrounding the Ducks\u2019 home the Honda Center. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tTeamLab will be a key component of the OCVIBE development that is converting about 100 acres of land into a multiuse area, with housing, offices, hotels and an entertainment district. Bloomberg reported that the development of TeamLab Anaheim will be fully funded by the Samueli family. TeamLab Anaheim will be housed in a building designed by California-based architecture firm Smith-Clementi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tFounded in Tokyo in 2001 by Toshiyuki Inoko, TeamLab is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/international\/\" id=\"auto-tag_international_1\" data-tag=\"international\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">international<\/a> art collective, made up of a multi-disciplinary team, including artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects who collaborate to explore the intersection of art, science, technology, and nature.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tTeamLab Anaheim will be 30 miles south of Los Angeles, and about a 10-minute drive from Disneyland. The developers will be hoping it will be as popular and pop culturally relevant as other TeamLab spaces around the world. According to TeamLab, the collective\u2019s two locations in Tokyo had over 4.2 million visitors in 2025.
