Thrice is now a dozen albums into its career.<\/p>\n
And these Orange County rockers \u2014 vocalist-guitarist Dustin Kensrue, lead guitarist\/keybaordist Teppei Teranishi, bassist Eddie Breckenridge and drummer Riley Breckenridge \u2014 just keep getting better and better.<\/p>\n
The band\u2019s latest record, \u201cHorizons\/West,\u201d is a terrific platter that touches upon the many different modern rock styles in Thrice\u2019s deep bag of tricks and treats. Each of the 11 tracks hit hard, although in different ways, and then resonate with the listener long after the album has spun its course.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery time we make a new album, we give it everything we have,\u201d Kensrue says. \u201cWe immerse ourselves fully in writing and recording, we have a blast, we pull our hair out a bit, and we come through it all with something we are really proud of. But sometimes you stumble into something special \u2014 I think we all feel that with this record.\u201d<\/p>\n
Thrice supports the new album \u2014 which follows 2021\u2019s \u201cHorizons\/East\u201d \u2014 with a concert on Nov. 21 at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Modern Color and Downward are also on the bill. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $51.32, axs.com.<\/p>\n
