BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) \u2014 A 29-year-old man was arrested and authorities say stolen vehicles were recovered and multiple firearms, ammo and drugs were seized from his Bakersfield home.<\/p>\n
The California Highway Patrol said investigators from its Kern County Auto Theft Task Force arrested the man, identified as Javier Leyva-Ruelas, after a search of his home in the 700 block of Requa Court in east Bakersfield.<\/p>\n

Click to learn more about KGET+ <\/a><\/p>\n Officials said the task force conducted the operation Nov. 10.<\/p>\n According to CHP, task force officers were looking into a reported stolen vehicle and contacted Leyva-Ruelas outside his home. Investigators determined Leyva-Ruelas was involved in the vehicle theft and got a search warrant for his home.<\/p>\n Officers searched the home and found six stolen vehicles and a small arsenal of weapons, including three unserialized AR-15-style rifles, seven unserialized 9mm semi-automatic pistols and an unregistered 9mm semi-automatic pistol, CHP said in a statement.<\/p>\n Multiple high-capacity magazines, thousands of rounds of ammunition and about 100 pounds of methamphetamine were found in the home, according to CHP.<\/p>\n
