SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 San Francisco jumped out to a 15-point lead late in the first half and held North Dakota State back in the Dons’ 79-70 win on Friday night in nonconference men’s basketball.<\/p>\n
Rob Diaz III led the Bison with 18 points while Riley Massey finished with 17.<\/p>\n
The Bison closed the deficit to four points twice in the second half and within five points three times down the stretch. <\/p>\n
San Francisco shot 48% (12 of 25) from 3-point territory against NDSU, including a 9 of 17 effort in the first half. The Bison shot 37% from the field and 27% from deep on a 10 of 37 performance.<\/p>\n
The Dons owned a 23-2 edge in fast break points though NDSU outscored the Dons 24-14 in points off turnovers.<\/p>\n
Kaden Tate led NDSU with seven rebounds while Andy Stefonowicz had five assists.<\/p>\n
The Bison (1-2) finish their three-game California trip when they face Cal State-Bakersfield at 5 p.m. CT Sunday.<\/p>\n
