Relative humidity is forecast to fall to between 8% and 20%, with warmer-than usual temperatures in the upper 80s.

The high temperatures will remain well above normal through early next week, peaking Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Highs in Los Angeles County are expected to reach the mid-80s to around 90 through Sunday, with the strongest Santa Ana winds expected in the mountains and along the Highway 14 and 126 corridors. Isolated gusts near 50 mph are possible in favored mountain locations.

The Los Angeles Fire Department’s red-flag parking restriction program took effect at 6 a.m. Saturday and will continue for at least 24 hours. The restrictions prohibit parking on streets in very high fire-hazard severity zones and require residents to keep roadways clear for fire equipment and possible evacuations.

Overnight lows will be more volatile. Due to the very dry conditions, overnight temperatures in wind-sheltered and interior areas will fall into the 30s and 40s each night, the NWS said. Conversely, windy locations and areas near the coast will see warmer lows, with some foothill and valley locations remaining in the upper 60s overnight.

In Orange County, Santa Ana winds will continue through the weekend, bringing breezy conditions to wind-prone foothills and valleys. Temperatures near the coast and in western valleys are expected to reach the mid- to upper 80s, with some inland valleys potentially reaching the lower 90s Sunday.

“Santa Ana winds will continue through the weekend along and west of the mountains,” forecasters said.

The warm, dry pattern is expected to persist into early next week, with a gradual cooling trend beginning Monday.

High tides will build each morning through Tuesday, peaking Sunday and Monday. In Los Angeles County, tides are forecast to reach 7.2 to 7.6 feet at their peak. Orange County tides will exceed 7 feet each morning through Tuesday and are expected to peak at 7.4 to 7.6 feet Sunday and Monday.

A west-to-northwest swell will combine with the high tides to produce dangerous swimming conditions, elevated surf, hazardous conditions on rock jetties and a risk of coastal flooding.

A beach hazards statement is in effect through Tuesday morning for Los Angeles County beaches, while a coastal flood advisory will remain in effect through noon Tuesday for Orange County coastal areas.

Minor Santa Ana winds are expected across the Southland Saturday but authorities are taking no chances, with forecasters…

[36
163,165,164,69298,34728,3802,3896,21777,15193,2695,2320
post-522090","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-anaheim","tag-anaheim","tag-anaheim-headlines","tag-anaheim-news","tag-bring","tag-danger","tag-fire","tag-heat","tag-santa","tag-socal","tag-weekend","tag-winds
["GET
