Comedian Jeff Dye is joining the growing wave of entertainers leaving Los Angeles behind.\u00a0<\/p>\n
During a Nov. 2 appearance on \u201cThe Joe Rogan Experience,\u201d the 42-year-old \u201cThe Wedding Year\u201d alum revealed he was buying a house in Texas after becoming deeply concerned by the direction California was taking under the leadership of Gov.\u00a0Gavin Newsom.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m kind of in this kind of LA thing, and I could be guilty of being a victim of what I\u2019m absorbing in my algorithm. But Gavin Newsom scares the s\u2013t out of me and I don\u2019t want to be a part of it,\u201d Dye said.<\/p>\n Dye also noted he was alarmed by the state and city governments\u2019 response to the\u00a0fires<\/a> that devastated parts of LA\u00a0in January.<\/p>\n \u201cThose fires were quite a wake-up call,\u201d he said. \u201cEven if, you know, whatever you believe about the fires, the way it was dealt with was pretty scary.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt was not competent, that\u2019s for sure,\u201d Rogan agreed.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cEven the aftermath,\u201d Dye added.<\/p>\n Comedian Jeff Dye appears on the \u201cJoe Rogan Experience\u201d on Nov. 12, 2025. AP<\/p>\n Fox News Digital has reached out to Newsom\u2019s office for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n The\u00a0LA fires scorched over 55,000 acres,<\/a> destroyed more than 16,000 buildings and caused at least 29 deaths.<\/p>\n The two largest fires were the Palisades Fire, which burned 6,837 buildings and killed 12 people, and the Eaton Fire, which decimated 9,414 buildings and claimed 18 lives.\u00a0<\/p>\n Both Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass<\/a> faced immediate backlash over the management of the fires.
