FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Fresno State battled through the elements to get a gritty 24-3 win over Wyoming.<\/p>\n
The Bulldogs improve to 7-3 on the season and 4-2 in Mountain West play, keeping alive the team’s chances of making the Mountain West Championship Game on December 5.<\/p>\n
Fresno State scored on the first possession of the game when Bryson Donelson capped a 73-yard, 10-play drive with a 12-yard rushing touchdown. The sophomore out of Central Valley Christian finished with 45 yards.<\/p>\n
Wyoming responded on its first possession but had to settle for a 41-yard field goal. The score would remain 7-3 until the final minute of the first half.<\/p>\n
Tytus Khajavi, a freshman linebacker out of Clovis West, logged his first career sack. The 14-yard loss on third down forced the Cowboys to punt it away.<\/p>\n
That would set up the Bulldogs’ final possession of the first half with 1:43 on the clock. The drive resulted in a 40-yard Dylan Lynch field goal making it a 10-3 FS lead at the break.<\/p>\n
Neither team would score until the fourth quarter. Senior cornerback Al’zillion Hamilton came away with his third interception of the season.<\/p>\n
The ensuing drive was quickly turned into points when Johnathan Arceneaux scored on the first play of the drive. The senior broke free for a 58-yard gain for a rushing touchdown.<\/p>\n
The final score of the game would be quarterback Carson Conklin’s first touchdown pass as a Bulldog, finding senior wide receiver Josiah Freeman for 13 yards.<\/p>\n

Fresno State is one of five Mountain West teams with a 4-2 record in conference play. The Dogs currently hold the tiebreaker over Boise State and Hawaii thanks to their head-to-head wins.<\/p>\n
The tiebreaker between UNLV and New Mexico would be decided on “a composite average of selected predictive and results based computer metrics” at the end of the regular season.<\/p>\n
Senior Day is next for the Bulldogs. Fresno State will host Utah State next Saturday, November 22, with kickoff from Valley Children’s Stadium set for 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
