SAN DIEGO (FOX 5\/KUSI) \u2014 The San Diego Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST) was in Ocean Beach on Monday to investigate a suspicious incident that may have occurred Sunday night.<\/p>\n
According to San Diego police, neighbors reported hearing a bang and seeing a flash in the alley between Brighton and Cape May avenues on Sunday night. <\/p>\n
When authorities arrived at the 5000 block of Brighton Avenue, they noticed burn marks in the alley and damage to a vehicle. Shrapnel was also seen spread throughout the area.<\/p>\n
MAST is a specialized team comprised of members from San Diego Fire-Rescue and the San Diego Police Department that responds to major fires, arson, serious injury or death and found or suspected bombs and hoax devices.<\/p>\n
