“It’s heartbreaking and shocking to lose Destiny. My heart goes out to her family, friends and CSUF community,” Tusk Magazine Adviser Marie Loggia-Kee wrote in an email to the Daily Titan.

The newest edition of Tusk Magazine will be published later this semester and will include work from Morris as a writer and model.

“She had such a sweet and pure soul. She never gave up or quit on anything that was hard,” dance team member Bella Escabedo wrote in a statement released by Titan Athletics. “Her resilience is still carried with each and everyone one of us.”

CSUF students can reach out to Counseling and Psychological Services on campus for mental health support. Employees and staff can seek support through the MyLifeMatters Care Center.
