Ever wonder what public figures like Vance or Benioff are listening to during those long flights?<\/p>\n

Well, one San Francisco \u201ctech bro,\u201d 23-year-old software engineer Riley Walz, found the answer to that question. According to The New York Times, Walz created The Panama Playlists<\/a>, a website that shows several public figures\u2019 Spotify playlists.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be surprised if Vance is listening to Justin Bieber on a plane to or from Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

According to The Panama Playlists, Vance has a playlist named \u201cMaking Dinner\u201d with songs like \u201cOne Time\u201d by Bieber and \u201cI Want It That Way\u201d by the Backstreet Boys. Benoiff\u2019s playlist includes Lady Gaga\u2019s \u201cPoker Face,\u201d Katy Perry\u2019s \u201cCalifornia Gurls\u201d and the Bruno Mars-featured \u201cBillionaire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walz said he has been tracking these public figures\u2019 Spotify accounts for more than a year. The San Francisco resident did write a disclaimer about the accuracy of The Panama Playlists, saying that \u201cI could say with near-certainty: yep, this is that person.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI found the real Spotify accounts of celebrities, politicians, and journalists. Many use their real names. With a little investigating, I could say with near-certainty: yep, this is that person,\u201d Walz wrote on The Panma Playlists\u2019 website. \u201cI\u2019ve been scraping their playlists for over a year. Some individuals even have a setting enabled that displays their last played song. I scraped this continuously, so I know what songs they played, how many times, and when.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the NYT, Walz is also behind several antics in San Francisco.<\/p>\n

The newspaper reported that Walz is behind last year\u2019s fake sign prank in Union Square<\/a>, mocking then-California retail theft law. Walz, the Times reports, posed as a reporter to sneak into a City Hall gala event for the APEC Summit in 2023<\/a>,<\/p>\n

Walz was the mastermind behind the website LooksMapping<\/a>, which uses AI to rank San Francisco restaurants based on how \u201chot\u201d their patrons are.<\/p>\n
