WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 President Donald Trump’s growing partnership<\/a> with Saudi Arabia was highlighted on Wednesday as he addressed business leaders from both the United States and the Middle Eastern nation. <\/p>\n

Speaking at the US-Saudi investment forum, the president praised Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman following the country’s pledge of a $1 trillion investment in various sectors of the US economy. (TNND)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This includes $270 billion in agreements between different companies at the forum, according to Trump.<\/p>\n

“The crown prince and I are making an alliance more powerful than it\u2019s ever been before,” the president told the crowd. \u201cGE Aerospace will soon be delivering dozens of new airplane engines for 787 Dreamliners in Saudi Arabia\u2019s commercial fleet. Big order, it was a big order just secured,” he said of one of the business deals that was secured.<\/p>\n

CEOs and senior executives from major companies<\/a>, including Chevron, NVIDIA, Google, and Pfizer, attended the forum. Tesla CEO Elon Musk was also present and attended a White House dinner for the Crown Prince on Tuesday evening. <\/p>\n

The president mentioned Musk multiple times during his remarks after what had been a turbulent year for the two. Musk had been a fixture at the White House in the early months of the President’s second term, before the friendship took a downturn with Musk leaving his post at the Department of Government Efficiency. Musk went on to rail against some of the policies the president supported, including the “one big beautiful bill,” but tensions seemed to be thawing. <\/p>\n

However, the welcoming of Saudi Arabia’s crown prince has faced criticism. Families of 9\/11 victims accused the Crown Prince of attempting to rewrite history as they continue lawsuits against Saudi Arabia for connections to the terrorist attacks. Additionally, some MAGA supporters believe the President is too focused on foreign deals rather than prioritizing America First. Steve Bannon, a former Trump advisor and influential MAGA voice, recently told <\/a>Axios, “knows his movement’s base better than anyone \u2014 but a lot of his base feel [he’s spending] too much time on Palestine and not enough on East Palestine,” Ohio. <\/p>\n

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., has also voiced concern about the president’s foreign deals. Greene has been a long-time supporter of Trump and the MAGA movement before seemingly being banished this past week because of her vocal support of releasing the Epstein files. Greene was one of the first Republicans to break with the President on supporting the release, and has also been critical of her party on healthcare and other issues she doesn’t see as helpful to Americans. She seemed to allude to Trump’s foreign partnerships when asked what her response was to the president calling her a traitor<\/a> to the Republican party. <\/p>\n

“Let me tell you what a traitor is: a traitor is a is an American that serves foreign countries and a patriot is an American that serves the United States of America and Americans,” she said this week while at a news conference with Epstein abuse survivors. <\/p>\n
