Both drivers stopped after hitting the pedestrian.<\/p>\n<p>The second driver called police shortly after 4:40 a.m. to report the collision, which occurred on Mission Gorge Road near Conestoga Way, east of Princess View Drive, Officer David O\u2019Brien said.<\/p>\n<p>The woman died at the scene. Her name was not released.<\/p>\n<p>The incident began when a 47-year-old male driving a Honda CRV on Mission Gorge struck the woman as she was trying to cross the street and walked west in the middle of the block, O\u2019Brien said.
